100% award letter, Government job

I was just diagnosed 100% disabled for bi polar disorder. The issue is I was just hired to work for the post office about 2 weeks before I received my award letter. do I need to quit my brand new job?

100% bipolar - You'd make a great stupidvisor for the Postal Service. Seriously though working for the Postal Service is normally a very high stress job. It's in your best interest to resign.

I would resign. I was rated 100% for schizophrenia and I left my Federal position. I'm not sure nor have I seen it any guidance but I've been receiving feedback that 100% mental health cannot work....

dont quit tell your VSO and see if you can handle working for the post office. they will not try to reduce your benifit unless you are gainfully employed for a year. Then if in a year if your still...

You should tell the USPS about it too. When you applied....did they ask about your mental health? On an application? I am sure they did. Everyone is out for the money grab. Do what is right...never...

A very slippery slope, if you can work you will probably loose the 100% eventually, especially if you are not P&T and subject to reexaminations.
